Its been a while since I was on here last and so I thought it was about time I dropped in and say hi....
Things were fantastic over Christmas - what happened??
Momentum lost because of the snow I hear you cry or maybe it is the lack of sunshine that is making us all depressed and keeping us indoors consoling ourselves with the thought that summer will be along shortly where we can once again air those dodgy shorts, venture out into the sun drenched land scape and out of hibernation, or (and this is possibly my favourite) its because the politicians are
philandering again and spending all of our hard earned cash - well I suppose that this is bloody annoying and yes they should all be dragged over hot coals and forced to eat mud- but lets face facts, politicians have always been up to no good, put someone in charge of vast resources and a gullible public and you will all turn from the polished good
Samaritan (though I am not sure that any politician can be called a good
Samaritan) who would like to change the world to... well basically human.
The weather has always been a changeable beast, it does undoubtedly slow when its, too hot, too cold, too wet, to windy, too sunny, too...... well the list goes on (no doubt last weekend there were too many leaves on the road and people couldn't get out of their driveways...) and yes lack of sunshine makes even the most joyous of people only slightly depressed.
But all in all I think its just the fact that there is just a little more uncertainty than normal, new government impending, the Pound is...... well rubbish and so is the Dollar, the Euro, in fact most currencies are shot, banks are still gambling huge amounts of our cash and losing (and still getting huge bonuses for the
privilege of playing the worlds largest casino...) unemployment is rocketing with everyone looking at each other thinking "who is next", petrol is rising at its fastest rate (where are the picket lines when you need them?) and small businesses struggling to keep afloat in an ever slowing market.
And what shall we do about it - keep positive - put a smile on your face and keep positive, yes it probably will get worse before it gets better but there is not much you can do about that, sure make sure that product is working well for you, you are not spending where you could save, cost cut where you can but still keep up stock levels (people still expect it quickly) but more over give a customer confidence - because lets face it they need a bit right now - so give them a smile, your best sales patter and do it with pride and confidence and who knows maybe it will rub off on them and we can get back to the way things were!!
